Hey, what's with all the responses to just get a new floppy drive? Where's
the spirit of self-help? Also, note the email address (is .se sweden?).
Folks in the US get spoiled with cheap old macs, not everywhere in the
world is so lucky!

If it's just weakly or not-quite ejecting, most likely it's a problem of
the grease which lubricates the ejector mechanism getting sticky or hard.
Try taking the floppy out and removing all the old grease (WD-40 on a
cotton swab is great, or rubbing alcohol) and replacing it with nice new
grease. Look for any moving parts and where they pivot or rub against each
other. Put a floppy in the drive and open and shut it several times (push
on the 'paper clip' spot to eject) to see where the sticky spots are.

DO NOT bend up the little copper flat spring that holds the actual drive
head! (Guess how I know not to do this? I ruined a floppy drive through
curiosity about 'what was under there', back when floppy drives were not
free.)

If that doesn't fix it, THEN get a new floppy.

Mark

p.s. Vectrex! Another great technology! I remember playing 'MineStorm'
for hundreds of hours in high school. My old one is still in storage
somewhere.
