OK, I know this seems to come up frequently on the
list and I know that it is outlined in the FAQ, but
the bottom line is, try as I might, I just can't get
it to work.

I've got an SE/30. It does not have Stuffit Expander
installed on it. It is my only Mac. I want to get it
on the Internet. It has a NIC card. It is connected
to my hub which in turn is connected to my proxy
server.

I need to get files transfered to the SE/30 to get it
online. I downloaded Transmac. Everytime I format a
Mac floppy with Transmac and then put it into my
SE/30, the SE/30 comes up with a message that says the
Disk needs minor repairs and I have no choice but to
choose to repair it. It will then show me the files I
put on the disk, but they look like blank pieces of
paper and when you try to run them it tells me there
is no application associated with them, ect ect. I
tried downloading Stuffit Expander for Windows and
expanding the files on my PC first, then transferring
them to a Mac disk with Transmac... same result.

Am I headed in the right direction? Or should I be
following a differnet process or using some other type
of software?

Also, after using a PC for years, I can tell you what
all of the file extensions are, but for Mac files...
I'm at a loss. I figure the .hqx extension must be a
compressed file... what are .bin files? .sea files?
.sit files?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Sionnach
