Hello! I'm Mark.

I have a Classic, and a Power Mac. I admit a don't use my Classic much, but I
do play a few old games on it. Interestingly I, running OS 8.1, also get
"Disk Errors" with Stuffit Expander. I can't see any problems with my disks,
though!

I notice that sometimes (if not all the time... I don't pay that much
attention to it) Stuffit expands binhex files and saves them as sit files,
then it automatically opens the new file and decompresses it.

My theory is that Stuffit tells the OS to save a sit file to the hard disk.
Then, it tells it to open the file, so it can use it again -- but it does
this BEFORE the file is actually physically saved. I am probably wrong,
though.

If Stuffit manages to save the "intermediate" sit file, try waiting a few
seconds, then try again to re-expand this new sit file... not the original
binhex... I don't know.

Anyway, good luck!
