Hi all, I personally have fond childhood memories of the Cyan game "The Manhole". It was the black and white HyperCard stack game that led to Myst and others. The classic Mac version game has been obviously out of print for a number of years (The Manhole Masterpiece Edition can still be purchased for newer color Macs on CD-ROM). For nostalgia purposes, I looked on the classic Mac game download sites, eBay, and a number of other places for some time and could not find it anywhere. Recently I managed to find a copy of this game and it worked!
If any of you have been looking for this game as I have or are just hearing about it for the first time and want to give your kids a reason to use a compact Mac or to play a Myst-like kids game on your compact Mac e-mail me and I will send up a copy. (approx 3.2 MB HQX HyperCard stack) Since this software is long out of print I am not sure if I am stepping on any legal issues in doing this. After all, there are *A LOT* of Mac game sites that give away black and white games and other software that used to be retail for free all the time. If this is a legal problem, I will discontinue this offer immediately.
