I just thought of something. The "Clock Chip" so clearly labeled on the
Plus' motherboard *could* be the one that controls the Ethernet card's 10MHz
clock speed, among other things. If you fry that, you may be running your
Ethernet card at a different clock speed, potentially killing a component or
two on it.
