So, do I send this guy an apology and tell him how much I (not the
entire community, I don't want to make that mistake again) appreciate
the archive and it's service? I'm certainly willing to if everyone
thinks it will make a jot of difference.

I've apologised here already and made it perfectly clear I made a
genuine mistake.

I also appreciate I should not a) have involved anyone else, b) been so
blunt and c) have bothered?

I only ask we can leave this now, I know you are upset at me but I don't
think I need another hammering to make this clear, I am already feeling
really bad about it and it's makin' me upset.
I know I should not be trying to get out of this, I don't mind taking
the rap for something I have done wrong. It is just that I'm suffering a
lot at the moment as it is, what with being ill and under final year
stress as well as now having to face the thought of having a real debt
to cope with, a driving test to pass and a job to find when I graduate -
in short 'real life' is dawning on me, you guys must remember that
feeling.... In a situation like this a man needs friends and when even
they too turn on him he begins to wonder. I'm not looking for a bridge
to jump off, I'm not that stupid, I just need you to accept my apology
and leave me be.
