I think this is getting really really blown out of proportion. The odds that anyone will do *anything* about this at U of M are pretty slim. The odds that they'll "fix" it by taking down the archive are, IMO, even slimmer. Mark did the right thing; Apple specifically requested that all old versions of MODE32 be removed from distribution because of this precise problem about the time that v7.5 came out. All the rest of you need to get the hell off his back and quit being so goshdarn paranoid about everything. Someone *ought* to be complaining about *my* archive disappearing.
