I have the same problem. It werks about 15% of the
                            time
DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO DO THIS???

I tried

Also note iMacs don't have disk drives. Could that
cause some confusion? Unless your SE has a SCSI CD
drive, or something. . .

Here's the way I do it: I use a PowerBook 145, System
7, and PC Exchange. DO NOT put that on System 6.
IT WILL CRASH. I don't think AFE (Apple File
Exchange)
will do much good; and I've been in this type of
situation before. If worse comes to worse, I can mail
you the files ON DISK (you said it was FDHD?)- I just
need the address. Or, since you said you HAVE system
7.5, then PC Exchange is built in. Download Stuffit
Expander, and you should be able to get the software
from either Jag's House (Jagshouse.com) or System 6
Heaven (euronet.nl/users/mvdk/system_6_heaven) or from
Gamba (http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2).
