Sorry to disagree, but I don't think that the DB9 versions of the Localtalk or PhoneNet adaptor are all that rare. As well as the 512K, these adaptors were required for the original LaserWriter, printers from QMS, ISA LocalTalk cards and more.
The Localtalk adaptor that *is* hard to find is the DB25 one for the Mac XL or Lisa 2.
