I have discovered (thanks pickle) that the DayStar adapters for IIsi and
SE/30 both have a PLD (programable logic device) chip.
PLD's are custom chips programed by equipment manufacturer.
They are basically ROMs that program logic functions inside the chip.
It may not be possible to reverse design the PLD.
In that case the only alternative solution that I can see is to change
the connector on a IIsi adapter from straight to right angle.
The risk is that it appears, so far, that the 2 adapters are not
electrically identical. Has one lister reported using the IIsi adapter in
the SE/30?
Stay tuned.
