Daniel,

I will concur with you that the machine is very nice to
look at. I think that Apple has almost always done a great
job with aesthetic on their designs (the PowerMac 4400/7220
withstanding).

As far as being considered a "compact", I think that most
people will agree that the strict definition of "compact"
would be the machines that were based on the 9" black &
white screens (such as the 128/512, Plus, SE and Classics)
as well as the Color Classic and Color Classic II (although
I feel that the color models are still to large to be
considered "compact").

I think that machines such as the LC 575 are generally
lumped together as "All-In-One" designs, with each machine
falling into a more specific model category.

Keep looking over there in Europe, I am sure that you will
find something!
