In 1996 Most PowerMAcs that came with 120-pin VRAM came with 2MB in a 
pair of 1MB SGRAM SIMMs, well the 7600 did at any rate.

They are definitely 512k modules, the chips are registered as 
256kx16bit in the table I found whilst googling (it's in Excel 
format) for the chip number (MT4C16270DJ) so, 4 chips - 512kx32-bit 
or 256kx64bit. I can't really imagine them being 1MBx16-bit if they 
are for VRAM....
