INTERLUDE: BEGIN Please respond off list. (I know, I know: this isn't even remotely on-topic. But I have faith that the guru's residing here are going to be much more knowledgeable than me, and I need a couple of quick answers.)
What height & specs hard drive can a Powerbook G3 333 (bronze keyboard) use (internally)? 17mm okay? 25GB okay? Any restrictions as to manufacturer? Special drivers/formatting/recognition difficulties? Is there a source (tried eBay, nada), for just the wall cable for the power brick for one of these (US)? Where? (The one I was given - to work on - has a huge UK mains cord ...quite useless in suburban California, alas.) (The boss's wife - recent - hails from the UK, and I'm supposed to "fix" her Powerbook. I didn't notice until a few minutes ago that I don't even have a cord for the thing! So much for my snotty "can-do" reassurance to 'im that it's "no problem" ...insert foot in mouth, etc.) Thanks!
