>I *think* you could achieve much the same outcome with a flat CPU Daystar >Powercache, an Asante card with the "extra" slot pointing up, and the Xceed >card above ...but I don't have an Xceed card, so this is just a hope. I reckon I could do it in my SE/30. I have a CPU socket DayStar PowerCache installed on the logic board and an old Asante Ethernet board in the PDS slot. The Asante board has an FPU socket (but my DayStar card has a 50MHz FPU anyway so who cares ;) ) and a PDS connector. The PDS connector is horizontal attitude but the right connectors, wires and soldering (which I reckon I could do) and I'd be able to fit the Micron Xceed in there too, maybe above the logic board somewhere. as for the rear video connector for the 256 colour display I'd have to think about that, the 15-pin AUI connector on the back panel of my Asante network card is optional (you can take the section on circuit board and the port off the back plate) so I could replace that with the (conveniently same size) monitor connector, maybe. It's a project I'd like to undertake when I have the cash to buy a Micron Xceed PDS board for the thing. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC Vintage Macs List Nanny SilValleyPirate - AIM silicon_valley_pirate_uk - Yahoo!
