(After I managed somehow to stop laughing): Hats off to the both of you:
Bob for seeing Europe as it should be - one place to live and share. And
John for making clear that, while distances may be different from american
proportions, it's not just going from Greece to France or Iceland for tea
and picking up a couple of floppies. Macs in eastern Europe - (remember
Jakub Friedl?) Rare and far between. So let's sponsor them. As shipping
from Germany to Greece isn't just as expropriative as it is from the U.S.
of A., I'd be willing to mail to @angelo just the couple of 800k floppies
he needs, eventually containing one piece or another of system software
useful on a Plus, if he mails me his snailmail address offlist.

But there's one thing that worries me about this Plus: What if it were a
semi-upgraded 512 with a 400k floppy (if such a thing exists)? That would
be an explanation for the "Plus" not accepting HD floppies formatted as
800k on the external floppy drive attached to the iMac. Notwithstanding the
usual warnings against fooling an 800k drive into taking a HD disk for a DD
by taping the hole, as this trick may turn out as a very provisional
solution. But I think this subject is covered in the FAQ to your heart's
delight. Anyway, I don' feel it was too bright to give him these disks with
the Plus ;-).

Cheers, OM
