Neat combination, the Radius 14-inch is lovely for looks and casing
design, but the image has lost much contrast over its 12-year lifetime.
The obvious adjustment pots don't address this issue; is there another set
inside the internal metal sheathing that would have allowed techs back in
the day to snap up the picture? I've got the monitor out of its shell --
just held in by three allen-head screws.

I'd sure like to use this combo for text processing and light graphic
design (that's what some previous owner had done with it, leaving the
usual mouseprints for PageMaker, but not the app itself) if it was a
little easier on the eyes. You can just bear to look at it and in fact get
a little used to it, but the display is definitely darkish gray on light
gray.

I got it free from a friend who got it free from a boss. Jack was a PC
guy, he used his PC to deal with the outside world but used the
SE-30/Pivot for his creative writing. Every computer user should have a
nice old Compact Mac to doodle with.
