Well, it's possible you need a newer version of Stuffit, though it seems odd that someone would stuff a System 6 application with a version of Stuffit that won't run. You may have to drag and drop the file directly onto the Stuffit icon to get it to unstuff (does that even work on System 6?) or first load Stuffit, then manually select the file.>>>>>
uuuh yes well maybe i havent been clear enough but i cant get any thing on the classic not stuffit 4.2 or earlier not anything not even jpeg's it doesnt even regonize them at all only text files or macwrite files and thats about it really i dont plan to stuff the machine full with jpegs but some added functionality would be nice As for 7.5.5 (should be 7.5.3 actually), >>> is it ? must be then all i know its a version of 7.5 some where buried on a cdrom system 7 is not for the classic but for a 6100 i plan to get wich is running on system 7 and its always usefull to have a set of floppies around when its time to reinstall it so how do i go around to turn those system 7 files in a bootable cdrom or floppy set ? bluekatt -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
