I think this is the key right here in the part # "DPD" says to me
that this is most likely for a "Dual Page Display".

Best guess would be that it was designed to work with this monitor
(Probably Greyscale) or something similar.

.Net, I think, is a way to try to sugarcoat the fact that Microsoft is trying
to move its whole business into this pay-as-you-use kind of thing.
And I don't know.
