Great, so to actually help this guy out can we instead provide him with 
the pin-out for a standard 9-pin VGA video port and either a 15-pin Mac 
video port or a HD-15 PC SVGA port? That way he can maybe factor an 
adapter and see if that works. Failing that buy an tinny old 640x480 PC 
monitor and go around trying wire combinations until you get a picture, 
sure it's risky and it's at owners risk work but I don't 'think' you can 
kill anything like that but not certain, hence why I suggested not using 
your main monitor....
