Of course, I don't know if it's the best, but I use the Norton Utilities (2.0) on all my Macs, together with the DeskTop Reset1.0 and SCSI-probe3.5 extensions. I recently got rid of all 3rd/funny party disk formatters (like the 'Disk Manager Mac' I had) and kept myself to HD Setup 7.3.5.
