Because so few people have actually seen one in the
flesh (for want of a better word). I had one for a year
or so and I wasn't positive when you asked about the
slot. (I've also had numerous 5xx series Macs so the
confusion is understandable). The TV doohickey -- if I
remember correctly -- sits where that PDS slot would be
if there were one.
