Here. for instance, I've been following this discussion and
wondering about ethernet-networking my 4/40 Classic to my
ADSL-enabled G3 for both printing and Internet purposes.
Right now the Classic gets on the (text-only) Internet just
fine with a dial-up modem, ZTerm and an A/UX shell account;
and it also accesses TCP/IP e-mail with  MacTCP, MacPPP, and
an early version of Eudora, but I'm betting that that is as
far as its tiny perfect 4MB of RAM and 8 (count 'em, 8!) MH
can go. Heck, I haven't even bothered to install the
QuickTime that came with the OS 7.1 disk set.

Does anyone have any experience with exactly this set-up
that counters that?
