Well, yes. Although I use a IIci for regular mail & browse, my 3 Classics all are set up with PPP/MacTCP, so I can hook them up to a modem anytime I want to. Mailing is good, FTP is fine, but for browsing, the only thing I have been able to put to use was MacWWW. Which was hilariuos, but actually rather horrible. (it was my first time getting a Mac onlineI thought I'd do it in style. I surfed LEM & crashed at the link to the FAQ, haha! ) I remmber trying MacWeb, but couldn't get it to work om a Classic. It's lacking the right QuickDraw in it's ROM, IIRC. Does anybody know what the status is of the attempts to get the source-code of one of the early browsers to change it to somthing useful for 68000 machines? and/or who might be the one(s) to ask/contact? ¬mart -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
