actually, after checking the schematics i have it looks like the analog board wants more or less "normal" video. if you do just switch the video signals for testing, remember you need a ground connection as well, and preferably shielded cables with all the grounds connected or you will get reflections which greatly complicates trying to decide what is going on. note that the mac uses twisted pairs for these signals to provide some shielding and a proper impedance for the signals. if anyone wants the schematics email me off list.
