I found it hard to believe too, but he was pretty sure about it. He'd
simply leave the case on the roof, with a brick inside to keep it from
getting blown away. UVA vs UVB thing?

I'd start with a good scrub, though, to separate dirt from yellowing,
or put it in the dishwasher, like Jack Honeycutt of vintage_list did a
while ago.
And then on to the 'Detergent'-section of the FAQ!  (Frequently Applied
Qleaners? :)
