sounds like the floppy in the se is in desperate need of having the heads cleaned, and since you've dragged the dirt around you should clean the other floppy drives you've used at the same time. also open the case and remove any dust bunnies before you clean it, bunnies love floppy drives even though they have to constantly duck the head, he he.
