Hi, There is one classic which I run almost every day and which probably sees more on time than my G3. That's because it's sitting on my bookcase and is connected to a Nakamichi CD changer and also has a LaCie (I think) ADB FM-radio attached. The audio out goes to my stereo, so basically it's on whenever I'm listening to music, whether from the radio or from CD's. I can even record radio music directly to hard disk. Hey, I fitted a 1GB hard disk for that. The machine will also access the internet and sometimes I read my mails on it. Hey, who else reads their mails on their CD/radio? I used to use a Classic II for this job. Something went wierd on the hard disk recently, so until I have time to work out what it is, the color classic is filling in on that job. I preffered the Classic II because it is noticeably smaller and the fan is quieter. But the cc is a nice machine too. Bering able to start up from keyboard is luxury. The other compacts sit in the closet mostly, and come down from time to time for those really old games or jsut to show people how they work. Sometimes I even rig up a local talk network and we play network games. Andy -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
