Help! Perhaps I was too ambitious. My SE FD HD (superdrive) was working fine as a clock, but I decided to replace the battery. I figured while I was in there I should upgrade the RAM to 4 MB.
I had some old instructions that I followed carefully. I even removed the jumper, so that the system knows there's more RAM. Now when I startup I get a sad mac. The following digits appear under the sad mac: 0005 F0F0 Any ideas? Is it the RAM or the battery? -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
