I haven't been to one in a couple of years, but The University of
Texas at Austin used to and perhaps still does have a surplus
properly auction several times a year. The last several I went to
had lots of dozens of Pluses and other compacts. In years previous
those machines had gone one at a time, but as their value dropped and
their numbers increased, they eventually went as huge lots. I don't
know if that still happens, but it might be worth a visit by anyone
in Central Texas who is fascinated by large numbers of compacts.

One problem is that the auctioneers are ignorant louts and they would
throw all the keyboards--Mac and PC--in a huge bin as a single lot.
