Hi! I recently acquired an HP LJ 4M+ which now usually serves as my network printer using Appletalk on Ethernet to serve my G3, 5500 and iBook.
Two questions, folks: 1. It also has an Apple serial Localtalk socket. Could I use that to print directly from an early compact Mac - not necessarily when the Ethernet network is also in use? If so, what drivers do I need on the compacts? 2. Could I use LocalTalk bridge on an Ethernetted SE/30 to let older compacts 'see' the printer on the network? If so, again, what drivers do I need?
