No no no...

The "p" in in these early HP lasers stands for "personal" not postscript.

They DO NOT have a Mac serial port on them.

Additional Ram is fairly expensive since it is on a proprietary board.

That being said there were plug-in Postscript font cartridges made
for the II/III series machines back in the day. If you are lucky enough to
find one and your machine has the 4.5MB memory upgrade installed
they will work (though very slowly) using "Greg's printer driver" and
a 'PC' serial modem cable connected to your Mac.

With all this in mind you are better off buying an Apple LaserPrinter to
begin with and save yourself _a lot_ of frustration.
