thanks!  that looks like just the type of thing i want.  i'd like to
make the machines into controllers, preferably without drives and i it
wouldn't be too hard to modify them to boot *nix out of an (e)eprom and
still be able to use the memory controller and other peripherals, just
to make things easy for me and easy to change.
