Things get pretty hectic during this event, and I'd feel bad if I 
destroyed a rare piece of history.

I think I've decided on the 100 series, probably a 160 or 180, so I can 
use the SCSI disk mode to share files between the two. Of course the 190 
has a few things going for it too, but I don't believe it will run system 
7.1 and has a different (040) processor. I want things to be as seemless 
as possible, but the batteries and other accessories are dirt cheap, and 
apparently pretty easy to find.

I've got quite some time to figure this all out, and my pal might find 
someone less reluctant to take on these administrative and logistical 
tasks. I'm more of a cut through the fluff and get the job done type of 
guy, thoguh you'd never guess reading some of my posts :)
