All together now, 1, 2, 3:  "OH NO YOU DON'T!"

System 7.anything is dog slow on a 68000 Mac like the Plus or SE or 
Classic.

System 7.5 is far too big and slow, even worse than 7.1.

Stick to 6.0.8, preferably; 7.1 if you have to - but there are lots of 
add-ons to 6.0.8 that make it have many '7-type' features.
