Follow my recent thread "CD-ROM on 6.0.8 Compact". All the info you need is
there. Thanks to the generous help of many members of this list, I now have
an AppleCD 300 (the one with the separate caddy) hooked up to my SE FDHD
and working like a champ.
Good luck on your own project, but follow the advice from the pickle and
Stuart and stick with 6.0.8 or 7.1 Update 3.
