Stuart Bell Unfortunately the two SE/30's are about 3,000 miles apart and I don't have a second one to try that. Does this SE/30 have the plastic switch actuator on the left side of the case? Maybe it's just barely touching the reset switch on the logic board. Remove it and see what happens. Other than that, it sounds like a power supply problem. Gamba It doesn't have the switch-that would have been great and easy. Is it possible that the internal contact of the reset switch is stuck in the depressed position? I certainly am. Go back and check the supply voltage from off the analog-to-motherboard connector. See if it's cord has any burnt or misshapen sockets. Or just say the heck with it and replace the analog board. The SE analog board is identical and by now dirt cheap or free. Jeff I'm going to take it back apart and "visually" check that out. You say the SE and the SE/30 analog boards are both the same? I never had an SE. If that is right then I guess I have more options to replace the board? If it's the power supply is it a common problem concerning the wiring or soldering between the ps and the analog board or is it more commonly a failure in the ps itself? I know without seeing it and measuring it you can't know but just checking for known, usual, failures. I don't have the electrical test equipment. -- Thanks for the input guys. dan_A -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
