I've read a few threads lately concerning programs for children. I had wanted to chime in. My 2 children being under 3 It's hard to find the time.
I can suggest MacTuberling, KidPix, and (I think it is called)HaloweenIII. Most recently Frogger through MacMAME has been incredibly popular. But, I have been collecting coloring book images and converting them to pict files so that my daughter can use them with programs like KidPix, or the Jigsaw Puzzle you find in the apple menu. I'd happily share these files. I have a copy sized for the compact screen and a copy sized for a 640 x 480 screen. I'd especially be happy to share if you have a similar collection to trade. The PBS website(www.pbs.org) is another good resource for this sort of thing. Many of the kids programs provide coloring pages as JPEG files. -tglaab -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
