Some time ago the US based buy and sell site Ebay made the big step accross the ocean. I just had a look at their Dutch portal and found that one can use this portal to bid on anything that is offered by sellers willing to ship internationally. This means that I can bid on stuff from buyers outside of Europe. I noticed for instance that I can bid on a US only product like the LC 575 being offered by a Canadian and that I can sell Europe only products like the black powermac 5400 or the Mac ED to people on the other side of the ocean that could not buy these Macs before. Because of the sheer size of the market (250 million americans, 300+ million Europeans) the amount and variation of products available is impressive. Equally impressive are the price differences between countries.
