I have my old SE/30, purchased new in 1989 for about $3300, that I have been tinkering with lately. Now it sports a 1GB hard drive and 68MB of RAM, and is running System 7.5.5, and has an ethernet card installed. I can see it with other things on my network (iMac FP, Wallstreet, PowerBook520, LaserWriter16/600), but it will not connect to the internet. I have visited Gamba and Jag (great sites), but the info there seemed to be about dialup. I did however follow the link to Netscape 2. My home runs through a Linksys 4-port router, and every other machine can connect. Any suggestions on what I might be missing? The internet would be nice, but I'd really like to see if I can get this unit set up as an email machine. It's neat to be able to say to friends that we can still effectively use a 13-year-old computer on a daily basis.
