Problem with my Macintosh Plus SCSIed to a Syquest (La Cie) EZ-135 w/ La Cie Silverlining 5.8.3 drivers. At first, with no floppy loaded, the Silverlining box appears upon start-up at the lower right of the screen announcing what version is running and noting the SCSI IDs. It freezes. A few mouse clicks and it goes to a Sad Mac (no, I did not jot down the numbers and x's).
Does anyone have drivers that are compatible with the Macintosh Plus for this particular removeable SCSI drive? I am assuming it is a driver problem on the cartridge as I've often heard of people using the 135 with a Mac Plus. I never have. Can I format the disk with an Apple utility from a PowerPC so that it will work with a Mac Plus? I have loaded on the EZ-135 cartridge System Update 6.0.5 and some other stuff. When that cartridge mounts on my PowerPC, there is an alert just as startup is winding down that informs me the drivers are outdated on that cartridge. Seems like it's too old for the Plus, too young for the 604! Where's Goldilocks when I need her! All the best.......... __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
