But which parts of the "out-of-the-box iMac experience" are you trying to 
invoke here, and at what cost to program speeds? I dunno, maybe a 
ppc-stripped and edited 7.5.5, an augmented 7.1 or even a clever System 6 
setup would prove to be a heckuva lot more fun to learn computing on than 
any 7.6.1 variation running too slowly in a Classic II.
