I'm sure, that it would be easy enough to stuff one of the new iMac G4s into an old SE case, and even stuff the power supply in there too. But that darn 9" screen is always going to be an issue. Someday soon, someone will make an LCD projector cheap enough to put into a Palm-sized laptop, and THEN your screen could be any white wall or convenient surface you pointed it at. But as a novelty only, and with a little judicious milling with a Dremel Weapon, a person could install an iBook into an SE cabinet, thereby ruining two great examples of good industrial design in one stroke! Actually, just for fun, I installed a functional 9" black-and-white portable TV into an old 512 cabinet, mounting ALL the controls on the back of the cabinet out of sight. It was a lot of work, but it works fine, and gets a lot of praise. I just hated the idea of throwing it out (sentimental huh), and the TV's original cabinet was one of those hideous faux-cherrywood plastic cases that needed to be put out of my misery... -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
