the pickle suggested I try Apple's FTP site: I tried Apple's FTP site without success. I'm not saying it's not there, I'm saying I couldn't find it.
Scott Holder suggested I try Gamba's site: I was able to download AppleScript 1.0 (from System 7.1.1), but that was to old of a version to work with the scripts I wanted to use. I ended up copying the AppleScript extension out of the system folder in my PowerBook 190 (OS 7.6.1) and put that in my extension folder. It works marvelously (at least for these two scripts). Then I found out the one script (PPP Connect) asks for your username and password everytime you use it, not something I feel like dealing with. Isn't a script supposed to reduce keystrokes? So, I ended up spending quite a few hours trying to install AppleScript just so I can use the "PPP Disconnect" script. Kinda waste, looking back. Oh well...
