I can confirm that; I've got the same set-up. Classic II, 10MB, 200MB internal HD, Apple external 2X CDROM, and a Dayna Ether/SC SCSI Ethernet adaptor linking into my home network and its 576Kb/s ADSL connection. Netscape 2 is horribly slow, and most sites won't work with it these days. Netscape 3 just about fits in RAM, but it is unusable. Slashdot.org takes 25min+ to render. 8) But using Netscape 2 I downloaded iCab 2.9 (from www.icab.de) and it's noticeably faster. It's merely unusably slow, as opposed to "is this working? Has it crashed?" So a clear improvement there. Incidentally, though, I've noticed no problems with having the CD connected as well. -- Liam Proven http://welcome.to/liamsweb -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
