Yo compacters everywhere, >From time to time on this list, those of us on the left side of the pond hear from you on the right side of the pond about your transformer devices you use to step your 220 volt mains power down to the wussy 110 volt power used over here. Sometimes, this is just for a tiny amount of power to power an external drive. Sometimes it is to power up a room full of Classics or other Macs without a universal power supply on board. Please tell us about these transformers. What are the specs or capacities for these transformers? Are there popular brands or sources of them? How much do they weigh (as in cost to ship)? What might one cost? This may help some of us here to support Macs there or anywhere.
Maybe I'd better go look in the FAQ too... Bill -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
