Yo compacters everywhere,

>From time to time on this list, those of us on the left side of the pond
hear from you on the right side of the pond about your transformer devices
you use to step your 220 volt mains power down to the wussy 110 volt power
used over here. Sometimes, this is just for a tiny amount of power to power
an external drive. Sometimes it is to power up a room full of Classics or
other Macs without a universal power supply on board. Please tell us about
these transformers. What are the specs or capacities for these
transformers? Are there popular brands or sources of them? How much do they
weigh (as in cost to ship)? What might one cost? This may help some of us
here to support Macs there or anywhere.

Maybe I'd better go look in the FAQ too...
