Actually, that was a concern of mine. I use AppleWorks 5 for the few things I need to do. My wife uses Office 98 and Office 2001, as she does much more serious work on the computer than I. It just dawned on me with this virus 'scare' going on on the lists that this computer could infect our G4 via the file transferring I do (either by ethernet or SCSI) and then I'd have a serious problem: one mean p**sed off redheaded wife. As my knowledge of virii is very limited, I don't know if this concern is valid or not. Anyway, I discovered that Virex 6.1 will run on this machine, so I'll stick with that to be extra safe. That and the fact that any virus that finds its way onto the G4 can easily be blamed on the campus computer (and elementary school computer) she sneakernets with.
