Well if your external hardware includes another Mac with serial and ethernet ports you can use Localtalk bridge control panel from Apple.


Put Localtalk bridge on the other Mac. Connect your Classic to the other Mac (printer cable will do). Connect the other Mac to the ethernet and Bob's your uncle.
