Hyperdrive was one of 3 or 4 makers of these kits.
More likely to be MFM than SCSI which was not yet an approved standard in 1985. Interestingly the HyperDrive was made by GCC, one of the few Mac companies who are still around. The extras for the HyperDrive included MacServe, a disk (NOT file) sharing product -- your hard disk was partitioned into chunks that were accessed over AppleTalk from other Macs. MacServe died pretty quickly when AppleShare and TOPS took off. Phil -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
