Hi, Annie. If you don't have a hole in the exterior of the case, you can try putting a cloth or something soft over the "punch" and try to give some soft knocks with a hammer. Perhaps that will put the "punch" at the level of the rest of the case, leaving only some tiny cracks that, with a little luck, won't be seen if you don't look close at the case :-) .
