How big do the "motherboards" tend to be for DVD players ?

The ones I have seen are usually 4"x6" or a bit smaller. But there are also boards that fully fill the player's base - they are sometimes even 12" or 16" wide.

I doubt the store would allow me to open one to see... ;o) ---
I don't know if you would be able to put a complete DVD player
in an "compact" SCSI external box.

We're talking slimline DVD (35mm high...) ---
Anyway, if you complete your project, I think many people here
will want to see pictures of it :-) .

Mac TV is a definte, but the DVD looks unlikely due to my economy, but I don't rule anything out...

When (not if) I do this and my other Classic Mac projects, I will
inform you guys! :o)
